Can you remove No Suit File from CIBIL report?

In recent times, many of our customers/subscribers have been complaining about having a “No Suit Filed” status on their CIBIL report. Most of them are worried about whether it has any negative impact on their CIBIL score or not. If you have the same confusion on this topic, then you are in the right place. Here, we have discussed the actual facts with valid evidence, so that you can get a clear understanding of the current controversial topic: No Suit Filed status in CIBIL report.

As we all know, typically when a lender initiates legal action against a loan defaulter, simultaneously they update a Suit Filed/ Wilful Default status in the borrower CIBIL report.

There is no doubt that Suit Filed/ Wilful Default has a severe negative impact on an individual’s credit report. Now, when the borrower clears the unpaid debt; according to the banking system, lenders withdraw the lawsuit case and update the loan status in the borrower’s credit report accordingly.

Sometimes, they remove the Suit Filed (existing status) and keep the loan status as “Blank” in the CIBIL report. And, sometimes, the lender updates the loan status as “No Suit Filed”.

Apart from this, recently, you also may notice the “No Suit Filed” status in your ongoing loan account, even though, you never missed any of the loan EMIs or have no past history of being Suit Filed.

For all of the above-mentioned cases, you don’t have to be anxious about the “No Suit Filed” status in your CIBIL report. Due to the specific comment, neither your CIBIL score will hamper nor you will face any difficulty in getting any further loans.

In fact, in TransUnion CIBIL’s own language, they said “No Suit Filed on an account means it is regular. It is not considered as a negative comment on the loan.”

TransUnion CIBIL frequently updates their credit reporting format, that’s why always check your CIBIL report from their official website www.cibil.com, and contact them directly if you find any discrepancy.
